Please note the season is coming to a close, we are in north Florida and the viability begins dropping in the cooler weather. Keeping this in mind I still hatch all winter long and have a GREAT hatch-rate. Keeping your chicks alive in the winter is slightly more difficult as well. Please keep these things in mind. Because I knew viability can be reduced in the winter I will send as many extra eggs that I can fit in your box.
You’re only paying for 12 Silkie hens choice hatching eggs. We have three separate pens. Pen 1 is a black blue splash pen including 10 black hens, a splash roo and a black roo. Frizzles are possible. Pen 2 is an all white pen including frizzles. Pen 3 is our project pen it includes a Columbian roo and a variety of gorgeous hens including a couple satins and frizzles. Your eggs will come from all three pens. Show quality. *chance of satin and chance of frizzle*
NPIP & AI certified farm located in north Florida. We test for fertility monthly and keep 1 rooster per 6 hens to ensure fertility. We CANNOT guarantee your hatch rate. Shipping hatching eggs is a gamble. We will guarantee that your eggs arrive well packaged and 100% fertilized.
Please do not wash your eggs prior to incubating them. We recommend incubating your eggs at 99.5-100.5 at a humidity of 20-30%. After 7 days candle your eggs and discard any that do not show growth. At day 18 candle your eggs again. At this time place all the developing eggs into lockdown at a humidity of 50-70%. They should hatch within a couple days, by day 21 of incubating. Please make sure to be prepared prior to incubating your eggs on good hatching practices! I cannot replace your eggs due to a bad hatch. Once they have left my hands it’s impossible for me to control all the variables. If you need assistance with your hatch please contact me.
